WHY LITSLINK

Why Businesses Choose LITSLINK for Automotive Software Development

Plenty of shops will accept an automotive brief and learn the domain on your budget. We come in already fluent in how modern car software behaves inside dealer, fleet, rental, and mobility products, and clear about the layer where we do our best work: the apps, the cloud, and the integrations that tie them to the vehicle. Most software development in the automotive industry now lives right there.

We Speak Dealership, Fleet & Mobility Software

Our product managers have shipped subscription apps, rental marketplaces, and fleet consoles. You get an automotive software provider that reads driver workflows, dealer economics, and the way a fleet manager actually spends a Tuesday.

Full-Cycle: Web, Mobile & Cloud Engineering

Design, front end, back end, mobile, DevOps, and QA come from one roof. That keeps your automotive software engineering services aligned and shortens the loop between a product decision and a working build.

Agile Delivery, From MVP to Enterprise Platform

We ship a lean first release, put it in front of real drivers or dealers, and grow it from there. Founders reach the market in months. Enterprise teams get an automotive software development company that can scale the same codebase as adoption climbs.

Integration-Ready for Telematics, IoT & Third-Party APIs

OBD-II feeds, GPS SDKs, payment rails, CRM, ERP, and telematics gateways connect through clean APIs. Where a product meets standardized in-vehicle environments, we integrate through their published interfaces and pair with your embedded specialists. Whether you keep the build in-house or move to automotive software development outsourcing, the architecture stays open to the systems you already run.

Automotive Software Consulting & Advisory

Bring us the idea, the legacy stack, or the integration headache. Our automotive advisory software development sessions map scope, architecture, and a build plan you can take to your board. This is also where IT services for the automotive industry begin, with a feasibility read before anyone writes code.

SOLUTIONS WE BUILD

Automotive Software Solutions We Build

Ten automotive software development solutions we ship most often for automotive and mobility clients. Each one runs on web, mobile, and cloud, and reads vehicle data through APIs.

01

Fleet Management Platforms

Real-time tracking, route optimization, and maintenance scheduling in one console for operators who live and die by uptime.

02

Car Rental, Subscription & P2P Sharing Platforms

Renter and host marketplaces with booking, dynamic pricing, and in-app payments. We have shipped two of these already (FastRoad and Rent&Share), so the tricky parts of two-sided rental flows are familiar ground. Automakers are increasingly shifting toward subscription-based software services for vehicles, which makes flexible billing and entitlement logic more important.

03

Connected Vehicle & Telematics

Data collection from OBD and telematics devices, live dashboards, and alerting. This is the heart of automotive IoT software development company work, and it stays at the app and cloud layer, reading from the hardware you already have.

04

Vehicle Diagnostics & Predictive Maintenance

Cloud-based monitoring and service scheduling that flags a part before it fails to help optimize maintenance, support optimal performance, and improve vehicle performance and fuel consumption. AI automotive software development adds pattern detection on top of the raw sensor stream to enhance safety and efficiency. (See our Artificial Intelligence Services.)

05

Dealership & Service Management Systems

DMS, inventory, service appointments, and an automotive CRM in one place, so the sales floor and the service bay share a single record, track customer interactions, follow customer activity across sales and service, and improve client satisfaction through better service coordination.

06

Automotive eCommerce & Retail Platforms

Parts and vehicle sales, service booking, and loan calculators. Automotive retail software development that turns a browsing customer into a booked appointment.

07

Auto Parts & Aftermarket Inventory Management

Supplier catalogs, stock tracking, and order fulfillment for parts retailers who move thousands of SKUs a week, with more accurate picking, built-in controls to prevent stock issues, and smoother distribution across parts and component delivery workflows.

08

Electric Vehicle (EV) & Mobility Software

Charging-network apps, EV route planning, and eWallet features. The shift toward software-defined vehicles is reshaping automotive engineering, with digital transformation and innovation driving competitive differentiation. EV and mobility products increasingly connect with AI-powered features for advanced driver assistance and personalization. Our electric vehicle software development services help mobility startups get a working product to riders fast.

09

In-Vehicle Companion Apps & Digital Cockpit UI

Mobile and web interfaces for infotainment and driver features in modern vehicles that often contain over 100 million lines of code. We build the app and UI layer that talks to on-board systems through their APIs, and pair with your embedded team for anything below that line, including engine control.

10

Navigation & Location-Based Services

Route planning, geolocation, and mapping integrations for products where a live map is the main event.

WHO WE SERVE

Automotive Businesses We Serve

Most of our automotive work comes from two kinds of teams: founders launching a marketplace or mobility product, and operators who have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf DMS tools. Both need software development for automotive companies that fits their operation. Here is who we build for.

Sales, service, and inventory teams who want software development for automotive companies that matches how a dealership really runs.

P2P and B2B marketplace founders, the exact profile behind FastRoad and Rent&Share.

Distributors and retailers managing catalogs, stock, and online orders at volume.

Product companies selling into the automotive space that want a build partner for their roadmap.

Fleets that need live location, maintenance planning, and driver apps working together.

Teams launching charging, sharing, or micro-mobility products who want an MVP in market this quarter.

Operators building matching, pricing, and payment flows for riders and drivers.

FastRoad: Car Subscription & Fleet Management App

Challenge

An experienced founder brought LITSLINK a new automotive concept and a blank page. He needed the idea validated first, then turned into apps and a website that could pull in customers. The business had to launch from zero.

Solution

We opened with a product design phase, set the architecture and infrastructure, then built three iOS apps for fleet managers, drivers, and customers. A web admin panel in Vue.js gave fleet managers a control center, and Twilio handled in-app communication. One shared Node.js backend fed every client, covering car subscription and fleet management for small operators. A team of 8 delivered across roughly six to twelve months.

Result

  • First customers onboarded within three months of launch.
  • Shipped on time and on budget, ready to acquire users from day one.
  • A blank-page concept reached market as three apps plus a fleet admin panel.

DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

How We Build Your Automotive Software

Our automotive software development process runs in six stages, and it flexes to the size of the project. The same automotive software development life cycle covers a three-month MVP and a year-long platform, with the depth of each stage set by scope.

01

Discovery & Requirements Analysis

We map users, workflows, and the systems your product touches.

02

Architecture & Integration Planning

We design the data model and the API contracts for telematics, ERP, CRM, and payments, with delivery scope and resource allocation planned across systems early.

03

Agile Development (MVP or full-scale)

Two-week sprints, working software at the end of each one, with quality treated as a delivery principle from day one.

04

QA & Testing

Functional, performance, and integration passes across devices and connected systems to catch and fix bugs before release.

05

Deployment & Integration

We ship to production and wire the product into your live environment.

06

Support & Continuous Updates

We monitor, patch, and grow the platform after launch.

AUTOMOTIVE SOFTWARE READINESS CHECKLIST

Is Your Automotive Software Project Ready to Build?

Run this checklist before you scope anything. It surfaces the gaps that slow a build later: fit, integration, users, team, and budget.

  • You can name the one workflow the first release must nail
  • You know whether a custom build beats an off-the-shelf DMS or fleet tool for your stage
  • The business case survives contact with a spreadsheet
  • You have a list of the systems the product must talk to (DMS, ERP, CRM, telematics)
  • Someone owns access to those APIs and data feeds
  • Vehicle or device data is reachable, even where it lives in an old format today
  • You know the three user roles that matter most on day one
  • A real driver, dealer, or fleet manager has agreed to test early builds
  • The current process is documented somewhere other than one person’s head
  • You know whether you want a dedicated team, time and materials, or staff augmentation
  • Someone on your side can make product decisions within a day
  • Ownership of code and IP is settled in writing up front
  • You have a target launch window tied to a real business event
  • The budget covers post-launch support, the line most plans forget
  • There is room for one round of changes after the first users arrive

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Automotive Software Development

Cost follows scope, platform count, integrations, and compliance needs. A focused MVP starts low, and a multi-system platform runs higher. We give an indicative range on the first call and a firm quote after a short discovery. The tiers above show starting points.

Our strength lives at the application, cloud, and integration layer: driver apps, dealer platforms, fleet dashboards, and the APIs that connect them to telematics hardware. For automotive embedded software development or automotive ECU software development that runs firmware directly on the vehicle, we integrate through published interfaces and pair with your embedded specialists. We name where our lane ends on day one, so expectations stay honest.

Off-the-shelf wins when your process matches the tool. A custom build pays off when your workflow, pricing model, or integrations run their own way. We give a straight read in the consulting phase, even when the answer is to keep what you have for now.

Yes. We connect to DMS, ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and OBD/telematics feeds through REST and GraphQL APIs. Integration planning is its own stage in our process, so surprises surface early.

A lean MVP reaches users in roughly 3 to 5 months. A full custom platform runs 6 to 12 months. Timelines shift with integration depth and the number of platforms in the first release.

That is a sweet spot. We ship a focused first version (charging, routing, sharing, or payments) and grow it once real riders are on it. Our electric vehicle software development services are built around reaching the market and iterating from there.

You own the code and the data, full stop. We sign an NDA before the first detailed conversation and assign all IP to you in the contract.

Both. Take a dedicated team for a full build, or use staff augmentation to add specific skills to your in-house group. Time and materials covers the middle ground while scope is still moving.

Yes. Support and maintenance keep the platform current with new vehicles, integrations, and usage. Many clients keep a small team on retainer for the roadmap that follows launch.

Often the smarter move. We move the system to the cloud, refactor the core, and preserve your data through the switch, so you gain speed while keeping the history the business relies on.
