Project Details

A US-based Healthcare startup came to LITSLINK with a platform already in motion but under serious operational strain. The product vision was clear: to make a blockchain platform for digital networks that could connect patients, medical organizations, and insurance companies in one place.

Business Challenge

The goal was to build a blockchain platform for medical appointments and insurance. A system that could bring real transparency and efficiency to financial transactions between clinics, patients, and insurers. A rethinking of the whole interaction model.

The brief was to step in fast, take ownership across the full stack, and ship. The client needed urgent support on several fronts at once:

Apps were outdated

Their existing apps required new features and a fully redesigned interface to meet user expectations.

Back-office was falling short

Core operational needs were going unmet, creating friction for the teams that relied on it daily.

Tight deadline, live users

All of it had to come together on a tight deadline — without disrupting the experience of live users.

Our Solution

We assembled a cross-functional team spanning front-end, back-end, mobile, and UX/UI disciplines, and opened with a detailed project plan.

The mobile applications were rebuilt from the ground up with a redesigned UI: cleaner, more intuitive, and consistent across iOS and Android using React Native.

The back-end service was overhauled to improve performance and scale. The new versions were then deployed to production and both app stores.

The finished product is a blockchain healthcare platform that works for everyone in the ecosystem. Administrators get a proper back-office panel with role-specific access. And the underlying ledger keeps payment flows between all parties transparent and auditable. A patient can browse available doctors and clinics, book an appointment, and manage blockchain healthcare insurance in the same session.

01
Doctor booking

Patients can search, compare, and book appointments with specialists directly from the app.

02
Insurance discovery

Browse and compare insurance proposals, find coverage that fits personal healthcare needs.

03
Blockchain patient insurance payments

Secure, transparent flows between patients, providers, and insurers.

04
Admin panel with role-based access

For clinic and network management across 4 user roles.

05
Cross-platform availability

iOS, Android, and Web App from a single codebase.

06
Back-office web application

For internal operations and oversight.

Project Journey

Every project at LITSLINK follows an iterative, sprint-based workflow. This approach was especially important for Helper, given the combination of urgent fixes and longer-term feature development running in parallel.

Step-by-Step Process

1
Release Planning
  • Establish release goal
  • Define highest-priority features
  • Set probable delivery date & costs
2
Product Backlog
  • Prioritised features list
  • Desired by the client
  • Refined per sprint
3
Sprint Planning
  • Review product backlog
  • Set sprint goal
  • Estimate & commit
4
Sprint 1–2 Weeks
  • Daily Scrum stand-ups
  • Team expands backlog
  • Continuous integration
5
Demo (Every sprint)
  • Client review every sprint
  • Feedback loop
  • Sprint sign-off
6
Ready Product
  • Shippable increment
  • Sprint retrospective
  • Inspect & adapt

Scrum Process Flow

Healthcare software development doesn’t benefit from big-bang releases. Scrum’s sprint cadence meant the client saw working software regularly and could give feedback before decisions became expensive to reverse.

UI/UX Design

The Helper visual system was rebuilt around three core brand colors: Blue (#2980A7 / #195FA0), Teal (#12B7AD), and Dark Navy (#161A4A).

The redesign prioritized clarity across devices: open layouts, readable typography, and interfaces that work for a first-time patient as well as a clinic administrator managing dozens of bookings.

The Impact

Our healthcare software team brings together design, engineering, and domain knowledge to build clinical tools that clinicians, administrators, and patients actually want to use.
What the numbers tell is clear: 7 specialists, 4 user roles, 2+ years of active development. The shift is from a fragmented set of tools struggling to keep up to a coherent healthcare blockchain platform processing appointments, payments, and insurance interactions in one place.
